Lerkene (The Larks) on 40–70-vuotiaista laulajista koostuva naiskuoro. Trondheimissa, Norjassa, vuonna 2024 perustettu kuoro harjoittelee joka viikko jakaen intohimon laulamiseen, oppimiseen ja toistensa seurasta nauttimiseen.

Come and join this promenade concert by Lerkene Choir at Temppeliaukio Church!

Lerkene (The Larks) is a women's choir of singers aged 40 to 70. Founded in Trondheim, Norway, in 2024, the choir rehearses every week with a shared passion for singing, learning and enjoying each other's company.

The choir presents itself and the upcoming concert with the following words:
"Lerkene is a choir where enthusiasm often exceeds experience – and we wear that with pride. We are dedicated amateur singers who enjoy challenging ourselves while making sure rehearsals are a welcoming, supportive and joyful place to be. We take the music seriously, but never ourselves. Singing technique, musical expression and communication are at the heart of our work, shaping both our rehearsals and our repertoire. We enjoy spending time together both on and off the stage, and we're always happy to celebrate after a good performance—or rehearsal.

Our performance in Helsinki is a special milestone for us. It will be the first time we sing for an audience beyond our family and close friends, and we are truly excited to perform in the beautiful Temppeliaukio Church. We look forward to sharing our music with you."
