Paimenpsalmin sanat ovat tutut ja rakkaat, usein jäähyväisten hetkessä käytetyt. Elämän ja kuoleman Herra pysyy äärimmäisenkin puutteen keskellä kanssamme. Hän on olosuhteista, tiloista tai niiden puuttumisisesta riippumatta, siellä, missä olemme yksin tai yhdessä.

Jeesus vaikuttaa kauttamme maailman menoon Henkensä voimalla. Tämän ymmärtäminen on elämän mittainen tehtävä. Uskon liekki on kuin soihtu, joka valaisee pimeyttä. Jeesuksen ystävät säihkyvät juhlan ja arjen keskellä toivoa paremmasta. Seurakunta on kauttasi siellä, missä paimenen läheisyydessä sinulta ei mitään puutu ja saat rakastaa, iloita ja itkeä tietäen, että olet mukana parhaimmassa seurassa.

The words of the Shepherd's Psalm are familiar and cherished, often used in moments of farewell. The Lord of life and death remains with us even amid extreme scarcity. Regardless of circumstances, spaces, or their absence, He is there, whether we are alone or together.

Jesus influences the course of the world through the power of His Spirit working through us. Understanding this is a lifelong task. The flame of faith is like a torch that illuminates the darkness. Amid celebration and everyday life, Jesus' friends shine with hope for something better. Through you, the congregation is there, where in the shepherd's pres-ence you lack nothing and you can love, rejoice, and cry, knowing that you are in the best company.
